Each POL Personal Dialup Account
(PDA) comes with 100 MB of disk space for file storage. This is where your
personal web site files and your email messages are stored. If you use
more than the allotted disk space the extra usage carries a charge of 50
cents per MB, which will be added automatically to your monthly bill.
Disk space usage is calculated daily and averaged over each monthly
billing cycle. This means you can exceed your 100 MB allocation for short
times without incurring charges, as long as your daily average for the
month stays at 100 MB or less.
At times, customers incur disk space overage charges without realizing
they're using space on our servers at all. This is because email is stored
on our servers until either you download it to a local POP email client
(Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, etc.) or delete it from your trash bin if you
use our Correspond web-based email
client.
We realize that you may exceed your disk space allocation without
realizing it. To help avoid that, our system automatically sends out
warnings to members who are exceeding the 100 MB limit at any time. If you
receive such a warning, you can delete files to lower your average daily
usage to less than 100 MB and avoid incurring overage charges.
You may also check your disk space usage at any time by logging into your
POL homepage and clicking on "Your
usage statistics" under Your Account.
